Paediatric Services

Rise Physio provides assessment and intervention to help children with their mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and core stability. We help infants with attaining early developmental skills and help children with motor planning and building fundamental gross motor skills. They can also help with improving endurance, conditioning, physical activity, fitness and sport skill development.

Some of the wide variety of paediatric conditions that we can help with include:

  • Infant development and delayed movement milestones
  • Infants with flat head spots (Plagiocephaly)
  • Infants with neck stiffness or head preferences (torticollis)
  • Babies that are slow to roll, crawl or walk (i.e. bottom shuffling or trouble getting out of sitting)
  • Neurological conditions such as DCD (developmental coordination disorder), cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, acquired brain injury
  • Clicky hips
  • Flat Feet, Talipes or metatarsus adductus
  • Hypotonia
  • Balance and Co-ordination difficulties ( Falling over excessively, tripping, clumsy)
  • Orthopaedic conditions such as joint hypermobility, muscle weakness, idiopathic toe walking, postural issues, recovery post fracture
  • De-conditioning from prolonged illness or hospitalization
  • Acute and chronic chest conditions
  • Paediatric Motor assessments (3yo to 17yo)
  • Infant motor assessment (0-12 months)
